An Italian opera composer, Giacomo Puccini at the time of this letter was overseeing the production of La Fanciulla del West at the Teatro Grande, Brescia. The recipient, Antonio Bettolacci, was Puccini's personal business agent. Puccini encloses a bank draft and complains about conditions in regard to the production.
